Learning to let go
I was just thinking of a lost sketchbook. It was a great little sketchbook, good paper, good size, being filled with fun drawings. I lost it. I am not sure how. I have never lost one before. And it is not fun. A week or two later a friend of mine lost their journal, and I was thinking about things lost. We loose things all the time. Some are small (cars keys, pens) some are huge (jobs, people in our lives) And how we deal with lose. Some things can be found or gotten again. And I believe that we should try our hardest when needed. However there are often things that we will never get back. My sketchbook, most likely lost in another state, or my friends journal, left on a plane. My friend and I were hesitant to replace our lost books because of the work that had gone into our previous ones. I was thinking about the need to let go of things lost. It is ok to treasure the memory, but one must let go as well. To move on in a sense and to be able to start the next book without fear or reservation. To except the lose and to move on. Lose is part of life, not part of the original plan, but part of life non-the-less.
